Aluminium sheet is manufactured by passing thicker aluminium between rollers in order to roll them into sheets of required size and thickness. One of the major differences between a metal plate and a metal sheet is the thickness and apparent flexibility. Aluminium plates are rigid and used as flat plates, while the sheets are more flexible and are usually coiled for transportation.
